Entry Fees / Payment: No card facilities at the gate! Entry is Cash or SANParks Wild Card only.
Gate Hours:
Summer (Oct – Apr): Opens at 07:00 | Gates close at 18:00 (Exit by 19:00)
Winter (May – Sep): Opens at 08:00 | Gates close at 17:00 (Exit by 18:00)
🚗 Driving
Drive to the top of Ou Kaapse Weg and turn in at Silvermine Gate 1 (North / Reservoir Side).
Pay at the boom, then follow the road all the way to the end of the turning circle where you will find the parking area.

🥾 Approach
Follow the main dirt track past the reservoir until you reach the end of the ridge.
As the track narrows into a foot trail, look out for a cairn on your right.
Branch off at the cairn onto Steenberg Ridge, heading up and over the boulders along the ridge line until you reach a signpost.
Spot the cairns downhill to your left and descend along them, stopping just before the Fawlty Towers crag.
Continue down and perpendicularly away from the crag until you reach the installed staples.
Scramble down and hug the base of the rock band to access the various sectors.
🏊 Post-Climb Swim
Head to the reservoir for a dip!
