No special access issues
Per arrivare al parcheggio:
Dalla superstrada del Sempione uscire a Piedimulera e imboccare la strada che sale in Val Anzasca fino a raggiungere Macugnaga dopo circa una trentina di chilometri.
Lasciare l'auto al parcheggio nella piazzetta della frazione Pecetto o, in alternativa, in uno dei tanti parcheggi (a pagamento), presenti.
Avvicinamento:
Dal parcheggio nella piazzetta imboccare il vicolo tra le case in direzione dell' hotel Edelweiss; superatolo, proseguire seguendo la traccia nei prati che oltrepassa un piccolo canale e giunge poi sulla strada sterrata sol loro limite destro.
Proseguire su questa (che diventa sentiero) fino a raggiungere il ben visibile (sulla destra) settore "Luciano Bettineschi".
Per raggiungere la "Grotta di Girunu" e la "Parete di Pecetto" (posta appena al di fuori, sulla destra, della piccola grotta) proseguire per ulteriori 5 minuti sul sentiero (indicazioni per il rifugio "Eugenio Sella), superando un conoide di frana e dei muri in cemento.
To get to the car park:
From the Sempione highway, take the Piedimulera exit and follow the road up into Val Anzasca until you reach Macugnaga after about thirty kilometres.
Leave your car in the car park in the small square in the hamlet of Pecetto or, alternatively, in one of the many (paid) car parks in the area.
Approach:
From the car park in the small square, take the alleyway between the houses towards the Hotel Edelweiss; once past the hotel, continue along the track through the meadows, which crosses a small canal and then joins the dirt track on its far right.
Continue along this track (which becomes a footpath) until you reach the clearly visible ‘Luciano Bettineschi’ sector on your right.
To reach the “Grotta di Girunu” and the “Parete di Pecetto” (located just outside the small cave, on the right), continue for a further 5 minutes along the path (signposted for the “Eugenio Sella” mountain hut), passing a landslide debris cone and some concrete walls.
