  • stumbled upon this bloc, up in the riverbed just below the waterfall. seemed untouched, but it's so obvious I would be very surprised if it hasn't been checked out yet. rock quality is not the best, esp higher up, but it offers some bomber business in the lower part. pls contact me if you know more about this nice piece of rock (also if it has access issues)

Tumpen, Ötztal

Access is sensitive!

Although the area is called Tumpen, please don´t access it from Tumpen (upstream) but from Habichen (downstream).

Via public transport:
From Ötztal railway station, there is a regular service on bus 320 to the ‘Habichen’ stop. From there, cross the road, walk into the village and follow the road southwards until you reach a fork in the path; the path on the right goes under the bridge, but you should turn left instead. After 200 metres, turn right and follow the path to the power station, through the power station, across the meadow on the other side and into the woods.

By car:
You can park in Habichen next to the bridge, it is the parking lot "Habicher See". From there you walk under the bridge and follow a small path along the river and into the forest.
