⛰️The Tanarello Bassa area is mainly characterized by caves and steep, overhanging walls. One of its most notable sectors is Cineteca, where the climbing is extremely physical and definitely not for everyone. Grades range from intermediate to advanced, with some routes approaching the 9th grade.
Routes vary considerably in length, from just over 10 metres to around 40 metres. The rock is generally excellent limestone, the bolting is almost always good, and the bases of the crags are comfortable. Approaches are also relatively short and never particularly demanding.
The predominantly north-facing aspect makes Tanarello Bassa a particularly good option for summer and warmer days.
Sector X is also worth mentioning: a small formation of compact limestone featuring a characteristic little cave. The routes here are not particularly long, but the climbing is fun and the rock is pleasant. Unfortunately, the sector sees little traffic nowadays and could benefit from some renewed attention and maintenance. Nevertheless, it remains a convenient and enjoyable option within the Tanarello Bassa area.

⛰️La zona di Tanarello Bassa è caratterizzata soprattutto da grotte e pareti strapiombanti. Tra i settori spicca la Cineteca, dove l’arrampicata è decisamente fisica e non adatta a tutti: le difficoltà spaziano dall’intermedio all’avanzato, con vie che arrivano a sfiorare il nono grado.
La lunghezza dei tiri varia da poco più di 10 metri fino a circa 40 metri. La roccia è generalmente un ottimo calcare, la chiodatura è quasi sempre buona e le basi delle pareti sono comode. Anche gli avvicinamenti non sono mai particolarmente lunghi o impegnativi.
L’esposizione prevalentemente a nord rende Tanarello Bassa particolarmente interessante durante l’estate e nelle giornate più calde.
Merita una menzione anche il settore X, una piccola struttura di calcare compatto con una caratteristica grotta. Le vie qui non sono particolarmente lunghe, ma offrono un’arrampicata divertente e su roccia piacevole. Purtroppo il settore è oggi poco frequentato e avrebbe bisogno di una piccola rivalutazione, ma rimane un’opzione molto comoda e interessante all’interno della zona.
