Description

Rocher des Princes is a very "quiet" (meaning peoplewise) and outspread area close to the road. The boulders are of very high quality rock and there are many high class problems in the area. Sadly, because it's outspread and rarely visited, many of the easier, less quality problems are already lichened. This is a great area to visit when the main areas are hugely overcrowded. It's also a bit more south so maybe it's dry when the north gets rain. Also there might be some potential for the brushing kind of climbers.

Some really good problems in the area would be:

Monaco 7B
Albatros Royal 6C+
Ouroboros 8A+
Olaf 6B
Le coup de Bigo assis 6C
Prince of Persia (all of them)
Prince d'orange 7A

just to meantion a few.

Climbing has been limited!

The forests of Fontainebleau, Trois Pignons and Commanderie remain closed to the public until further notice. The entire forest remains very vulnerable to fire risk.

We urge everyone to act responsibly and to be patient: do not enter the forest, do not go to the burned areas, and ensure that access routes for emergency vehicles remain clear.

Park as shown on maps and stick as well as possible to existing paths.
