Climbing has been limited!
Fontainebleau closed until July 20
Due to fire risk and dry forest conditions, ONF has closed all of Fontainebleau to the public until Monday, July 20, 6:00 AM. Parking lots and access roads are barrier-taped to keep them clear for emergency services.
Please stay out until the closure lifts — check back here for updates.
Park according to destination. If you're main goals are on the west side, park on the west side, if on the east, park on the east according to map. The approaches are done on mainly big paths.
East side: Park next to the Aqueduct (On either side of D152). Walk on the north side of the Aqueduct with an obvious path. The first boulders are just 15m after the aqueduct ends. For the further more dense area, keep to the path and you will see the boulders on the right side after about a 10 minute walk.
West side: No big parking, park sensible on one of the parkings along D301. Walk with the recorded track to Route d'Occident and follow this path. A lot of the boulders are visible directly from the path. Use one of the small existing paths to get to the boulder you want to reach.
