Description

Rocher de la Cathédrale
And area following a red marked SR path. There is a very nice orange circuit along this path which was repainted in 2016. The circuit is 55 problems long, and is a bit of a parkour going over rocks, not touching the ground all the time. Along this circuit there has been opened a quite a good amount of mostly low boulders from the grade 4 to 7C. So most people can find something to try! Why not climb the orange circuit until you find something nice?

Here are some examples of very nice high quality problems:
Love les Tartes 7B
Coup de Torchon (assis) 7A
Volée de Cailloux 7A
Instant de Solitude 7A
Canicula (assis) 6C+
Querelle de Chapelle 6C
Pélerigrattonage 6B
Raide Option 6A
Le Triangle Orange 5

The area is very quiet, and can be a very good choice during some busy weekends. Use the GPS points to find your way. As always, it's highly recommended to download the guide offline.

"Super Parcours Montagne" is a endurance orange circuit starting from J.A. Martin with the Orange circuit on the left (west side), then continuing with the orange circuit of Cathédrale, after that taking down the Orange circuit of Potala and ending with the one in Grande Montage. If you're up for this one, it's good to park at J.A.Martin.

Rocher de la Cathédrale

Climbing has been limited!

Fontainebleau closed until July 20
Due to fire risk and dry forest conditions, ONF has closed all of Fontainebleau to the public until Monday, July 20, 6:00 AM. Parking lots and access roads are barrier-taped to keep them clear for emergency services.
Please stay out until the closure lifts — check back here for updates.

Park as for Guichot/Potala/Rocher fin. Both gps paths are good to follow. No bigger differences in approach time. It's also possible to park as for J.A.Martin, but then the approach goes over the hill of J.A. Martin. Just recommendable if you have in mind of doing the "Super Parcours Montagne".
