Ramshaw Rocks is a striking gritstone crag overlooking the Roaches. Full of character, it is packed with steep cracks, unusual fins, overhangs and slabs. Go exploring along its ridge and I’m sure you will find something that takes your fancy.
It can be quiet most of the time, as it is often overlooked with the Roaches being so close. This may account for the rock being a little gritty in places. It is mostly east-facing and catches the sun early in the morning, making it great for cold winter days or late summer evenings.
Its short walk-in makes it perfect for a quick session, with most boulders reached in less than five minutes from the parking. There are also plenty of grassy areas, making it a good option for families too.
