🚗 - From the A 23 highway, exit at Carnia and take the SS52 for Tolmezzo first and then towards Villa Santina.
Continue on the SR355 towards Sappada until you reach Rigolato.
At the center of the village, after a short narrow passage, take the fork on the left that leads to Ludaria and continue uphill for a few kilometers until you reach Piani di Vas where it is possible to park near a large meadow.
🚶🏻♂️⏱ 65' - After leaving the car, continue first along the white road and then along the path that leads to the Chiampizulon Refuge (approximately 25'). It is possible to drive up to the refuget; in this case, it is advisable to contact them to check availability and parking arrangements.
From the refuge, take the path that starts uphill to your left towards Monte Tuglia and follow it until it begins to descend. After a few hundred meters downhill, at a boulder with an indication for the cliff, take a track on the left that leads to the foot of the imposing wall (about ⏱ 40 'from the refuge).
Alternatively, you can now take the unpaved track starting at the last hairpin bend before the mountain hut (not accessible by car) and follow it until it meets the trail. Turn left onto this trail (heading uphill), follow it for about 150 meters, and then take the path branching off to the right that leads to the base of the rock face (⏱ approx. 30 minutes from the refuge; less elevation gain compared to the main trail).

🚗 - Dall 'autostrada A 23 uscire a Carnia e prendere la SS52 per Tolmezzo prima e poi verso Villa Santina.
Proseguire sulla SR355 in direzione di Sappada sino a giungere a Rigolato.
Al centro del paese, dopo una breve strettoia, prendere sulla sinistra il bivio che porta a Ludaria e continuare per alcuni chilometri in salita sino a giungere a Piani di Vas dove è possibile parcheggiare in corrispondenza di un'ampio spiazzo prativo.
🚶🏻♂️⏱ 65’ - Lasciato l'auto si prosegue prima lungo la strada bianca e poi lungo il sentiero che conduce al Rifugio Chiampizulon (⏱ 25’ circa). È possible proseguire in auto sino al rifugio, in tal caso è preferibile contattarlo per verificare disponibilità e modalità di parcheggio.
Dal rifugio si prende il sentiero che parte in salita alla sua sinistra verso il Monte Tuglia e lo si percorre sino quando inizia a scendere. Dopo alcune centinaia di metri in discesa, in corrispondenza di un masso con indicazione per la falesia, si prende una traccia sulla sinistra che conduce ai piedi dell'imponente parete (⏱ 40’ circa dal rifugio).
In alternativa ora è possibile prendere la strada bianca che parte dall'ultimo tornante prima del rifugio (non percorribile in auto) e seguirla sino ad incrociare il sentiero. Prendere tale sentiero sulla sinistra (in salilta) e seguirlo per circa 150mt quindi prendere la traccia sulla destra che porta alla base della parete (⏱ 30’ circa dal rifugio e minor dislivello rispetto al sentiero).
