Pitäjänmäki is a small and urban city crag with eight nice problems ranging from grades 5 - 6C+ on a cool formation with quality rock. The cliff faces southwest, dries quickly and doesn't get a lot of shade due to a lack of trees. The landing is flat and grassy and quite nice, with the minor caveat of the newly planted small tree in front of the cliff. Access is easy and the problems should provide some nice climbing for a trip or two.
Description
History
Pitäjänmäki is not a new nor a really old crag, with almost all routes being climbed in 2011 by Sami Karttunen, Tomi Söder and Mikael Uponen. The two hardest lines at the crag, Local Strongman (6C) and Korutehdas (6C+) were sent by Pasi Sjöman and Pauli Salminen respectively in 2012.

Access is sensitive!
Access is sensitive, only because of the proximity of residential buildings to the crag. If you climb here, be kind to the residents and remember to communicate kindly and keep your volume down while climbing.
Otherwise accessing the crag is extremely easy. Walking to the crag takes a couple of minutes from the Pikaratikka stop of Takomotie, or the bus stop with the same name.
Free 2 h parking is very close to the crag and has been marked on the map.
