The bouldering at Oberjoch is situated in an alpine forest at 1100m, with beautiful views over the surrounding mountains and villages. Just like the surrounding sport climbing sectors, Weihar, Kraftwand and Hirschtobel, the rock is alpine limestone. It is often weathered, and, depending on the block, ranges from extremely solid to blocky and hollow. Bouldering is possible from spring to late autumn, but the rock can take several days to dry after rain. On the flipside, the forest keeps cool even during the hottest months and therefore offers a welcome respite from the heat in the valleys during summer.
Difficulties range from extremely easy to 8B+, with a wide range of problems in between. In addition, the area offers a parcours of 43 problems between Fb 2 and Fb 6C+, which takes you on a journey through a variety of climbing styles and interesting challenges.
