Description

Mont Ussy and Mont Ussy EST 🏔️
Sometimes popular small area next to Fontainebleau. It's a family friendly area with a lot of easy problems and very nice looking boulders. The epicenter of the area is around a huge block with a lot of lines from 3 - 8A, this is the Ussy Cat boulder 😺

Circuits
All circuits have been redrawn lately and are very easy to follow in the area.
🔴 Red TD+ circuit 1-33 long. Hard for a TD+ including even 7A+ without variations.
🔵 Blue D+ circuit 1-36 long. Follows more or less the red circuit way around. This is a newly drawn circuit.
🟠 Orange AD+ circuit 1-31 long. Very nice circuit with a lot of quality problems.
🟡 Yellow PD- circuit 1-28 long. A short yellow circuit with mostly small boulders but a few exposed ones.

🟡 Yellow PD+ 1-50 long in the eastern part of the area. This old circuit is more of an adventure/mountaineering circuit, exposed downclimbs, chimneys between rocks, long traverses. Even between the circuit you have a bunch of arrows and markings making sure you're walking mostly on the rocks.

The area is extremely family friendly and you can get a stroller to a big part of the area. And there are a lot of easy small boulder for kids to play around on 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

📶The reception is pretty okay around the area. It's on a hill and just a stone throw away from Fontainebleau.

🚈🚎 You can reach Mont Ussy also without a car, which makes it's very special!

Mont Ussy

Climbing has been limited!

Fontainebleau closed until July 20
Due to fire risk and dry forest conditions, ONF has closed all of Fontainebleau to the public until Monday, July 20, 6:00 AM. Parking lots and access roads are barrier-taped to keep them clear for emergency services.
Please stay out until the closure lifts — check back here for updates.

🅿️ Park at parking close to Maison Forestiere. Walk with Route de la Fountaine around 100m and take a right at a green water fountain ⛲. Follow this path until you come to a cross road. At this point you will see the beginning of the Red, blue, Orange and yellow circuit at your right. For the Eastern parts you can also park on the secondary parking.

It's also "only" a 2km walk away from the train station of Avon/Fontainebleau. So it's extremely good for people without a car.
