Description

150 m from parking follow pad up the stairs to the boulders. Some boulders are also a long the road. No camping allowed best to go to Proença-a-Nova for a camper spot that has water and is on the parking of the store inter marche. Or in Castelo Branco you find some more spots. After climbing you can descend to the water for a swim in the Taag river for a cool down. 👌 for food you can go to the village at the Taag river or you can drive to a bigger city Castelo Branco for some nice restaurants and sight seeing. A longer drive and you can visit Monsanto the granite village full of granite boulders and good food and wine definitely worth the visit. Bring your climbing gear along there is some good climbing over there and the surroundings are spectacular.

History

The place is just above the Taag river it’s a monument and on the climbing site you find the old castle with the view point. It’s also the place of the eagles and other big birds. So no waste please and keep the nature intact when crossing the area for getting to the boulders.
