Malga Zures is a very small and quiet sector located on the scenic road leading to Monte Baldo. Nestled in a beautiful beech forest, this family-friendly crag offers a comfortable and relaxed environment at the base of the wall.
The climbing style revolves around technical slabs on compact, excellent-quality grey limestone. There are 8 routes ranging from 4b to 6c, making it a great spot for intermediate and beginner climbers looking to improve their footwork. The bolting is excellent and safe, though keep in mind that the grades tend to be a bit stiff. Among the lines, "La scala" and "Zures" are highly recommended for their interesting and rewarding moves.
Despite the wall's tendency toward a southern/south-western exposure, the thick canopy of the beech trees provides ample shade throughout the day. This makes Malga Zures a surprisingly pleasant and comfortable destination for summer climbing, offering an escape from the heat of the lower valleys.
The approach is extremely short and straightforward.

For your rest days or post-climb activities, the area has plenty to offer. The nearby town of Nago and the broader Lake Garda region are perfect for a refreshing swim, windsurfing, or simply enjoying a gelato by the water. If you prefer the mountains, Monte Baldo provides spectacular hiking and mountain biking trails with breathtaking panoramic views over the lake. You can also easily head down to explore the lively town of Arco, famous worldwide for its climbing culture, gear shops, and vibrant outdoor atmosphere.

Malga Zures è un piccolissimo e tranquillo settore situato lungo la strada panoramica che sale verso il Monte Baldo. Immersa in un bellissimo bosco di faggi, questa falesia è comoda, ideale per le famiglie e caratterizzata da un ambiente rilassante alla base.
Lo stile di arrampicata si concentra su placche tecniche di calcare grigio compatto e di ottima qualità. Sono presenti 8 vie dal 4b al 6c, perfette per i climber di livello intermedio e per i principianti che vogliono affinare l'uso dei piedi. La chiodatura è ottima e sicura, anche se bisogna tenere presente che i gradi sono generalmente considerati un po' stretti. Tra le linee proposte, "La scala" e "Zures" sono caldamente consigliate per i loro passaggi interessanti.
Nonostante l'esposizione della parete tenda a sud/sud-ovest, la fitta chioma dei faggi garantisce ombra durante tutta la giornata. Questo rende Malga Zures una meta sorprendentemente piacevole e confortevole per l'arrampicata estiva, offrendo un ottimo rifugio dal caldo del fondovalle.
L'avvicinamento è estremamente breve e privo di difficoltà.

Per i giorni di riposo o le attività post-arrampicata, la zona ha molto da offrire. La vicina Nago e l'area del Lago di Garda sono perfette per una nuotata rinfrescante, per fare windsurf o semplicemente per godersi un gelato in riva al lago. Se preferite l'alta quota, il Monte Baldo offre spettacolari sentieri per il trekking e la mountain bike con viste mozzafiato sul bacino del Garda. È inoltre facilissimo scendere per esplorare la vivace cittadina di Arco, celebre in tutto il mondo per la sua cultura arrampicatoria, i negozi di attrezzatura e la vibrante atmosfera outdoor.

The crag was excellently bolted by the local alpine guide Giampaolo Calzà, widely known in the community as "Trota".
Beyond climbing, the location is an incredible piece of World War I history. Trenches and fortifications are still clearly visible around the crag, as Malga Zures served as a crucial strategic point in the Austrian defensive line of the Alto Garda region.

La falesia è stata chiodata in modo eccellente dalla guida alpina locale Giampaolo Calzà, meglio conosciuto come "Trota". Oltre all'arrampicata, il luogo rappresenta un incredibile pezzo di storia della Prima Guerra Mondiale. Trincee e fortificazioni sono ancora ben visibili nei dintorni della falesia, poiché Malga Zures fu un importante punto strategico nella linea difensiva austriaca dell'Alto Garda.
