Description

Les Mammouths
Who have not heard of the legendary Ubik boulder. This is though not the only reason to visit this area, not at all. Besides very hard boulders you can find almost all grades around. The boulders are very unique looking in this area. Like giant mushrooms growing on top of the hill. Stunning boulders!

The area is very family friendly but not that great with a stroller. Especially the northern parts of the area are good for families and is also close by to a super beginner and friendly area called Mont d'Olivet,

The reception is of most part very good in the area with a few exceptions, but online guide should work as fine as downloading it for offline use.

The area is also quite quiet so maybe a good decision for times when forest is filled, or if the rain hits the northern parts, this might just duck the rain and be fully dry.

There are actually plenty of possibilities for those who seek to open new boulders.. a lot of sneaky possible first ascents were spotted in this area.

Climbing has been limited!

Fontainebleau closed until July 20
Due to fire risk and dry forest conditions, ONF has closed all of Fontainebleau to the public until Monday, July 20, 6:00 AM. Parking lots and access roads are barrier-taped to keep them clear for emergency services.
Please stay out until the closure lifts — check back here for updates.

Park as shown on map. For the northern part, it's closest to walk from the road park. For the sectors around Ubik, park in the forest.
