Two medium height boulders with easy access, close to Lappeenranta and Saunatie and Muurahaiskivi crags. Decent rock quality.
Keskiketvele is about 3 m high and slightly positive, while Hänkkikivi is approx. 4 m with both slabby and overhanging sides. All the potential lines on Hänkkikivi are as of yet unclimbed and could do with some more brushing.
Spotted by the author in June 2026, no signs of earlier ascents.
Summer cottages fairly nearby, so behave and keep the noise down.
Use the same parking as for Saunatie crag i.e. on the side of the cycle path after leaving Taipalsaarentie. A good footpath that goes past Saunatie Yläsektori takes you very close to the boulders, but since they mostly face the other way, you may need to leave the path to spot them.
Landowner has given the green light to brush away moss from the boulders so feel free to clean and open new lines.
