CAUTION! The Leijona rock has some big loose flakes on the routes not yet cleaned, be careful if opening new lines or if your going off the established lines. But feel free to open new lines if you dare, lots of potentially beautiful lines still to be found on this.
Jukka Törmä and Sami Haapasalmi found the rock Leijona about 20 years ago, but at the time it seemed too tall and too big to climb with the gear available. So the rock was left untouched, waiting for the future tech to catch up to it. Finally Murikka got new members and a lots of crash pads. So Jukka told about this rock to Olli Valomies Kolli Latvala and he decided to open it. And with a raid of route setters and 2500€ worth of crash pads few routes we're opened to this monster.
There is a holiday house for rent near the Leijona stone, so keep good manners in mind. You can approach next to the house but do not go in to the property. And do not park the car on the side of the road that leads to the house, park in to the designated parking spot.
