The Quartet 1 / 7
  • Start half sitting on the annoying block (that might actually be holding the boulder up) with left hand crimp, right hand sloping edge. Power up then head left alone the lip to finish centrally
  • Brutal one move wonder. From a pair of underclings, step on with difficulty and make a wild thrutch for the top. Finish slightly left

The Quartet 3 / 7
  • From sitting, power up to progressively better holds. Pointless line? Maybe but enjoyable nonetheless
  • A rising traverse from the left arete. Like actually on the arete, get your hand right round there or it doesn't count

The Quartet 4 / 7
  • The left arete taken from sitting. Make thuggy moves up to begin before finishing direct
  • The outstanding, weaving line through the centre of the face. Start matched on the obvious ledge to the right of the chockstone (the jug to the left is out). Make tenuous moves up past the upside down crimp. Finish direct, avoiding either arete
  • The right arete taken from low down: left hand obvious jug, right hand lower jug. Be warned that reversing the topout may be your best way down

The Quartet 5 / 7
  • The arete from it's right hand side, starting left hand arete, right hand lower small crimp.
  • The central line presents a tempting project for someone
  • The obvious mantle through the right of the face. 8a until you find the knack, 4a after
