Description

Franchard Sablons ⏳
This area is close by, but still quiet. It takes you less than 5 minutes to reach it from the parking of Isatis. The area contains a big amount of great problems in the whole grade range, besides that, you can find a red, blue, orange and yellow circuit that goes through the whole area. Lately there has been some new boulders around the outside borders, so you can definitely find something to work on here. The boulders are mostly low with good landings.

Some classics here are:

L'Elegante 4+
Modular 7B+
Modular accroupi 7C+
Jokari 7A
Talons Aiqulles 7B
Return to sender 6B

Circuits
🔴 Red TD goes trough the entire area. Pretty hard but features mostly low boulders with okay landings. 1-25 long.
🔵 Blue D goes more or less same route as the red circuit ending on the last hill top. Mostly good landings and small boulders. 1-36 long.
🟠 Orange AD a newly painted short circuit going hand in hand mostly with the yellow circuit. 1-32 long.
🟡 Yellow PD a very new circuit going hand in hand with the orange one. 1-42 long.

Especially with the newly painted yellow and orange circuits the area is definitely family friendly. Approach is rather short also.

📶 Reception can be found in most part of the area, but not good enough maybe for data. Downloading the guide offline highly recommendable!

Franchard Sablons

Climbing has been limited!

Fontainebleau closed until July 20
Due to fire risk and dry forest conditions, ONF has closed all of Fontainebleau to the public until Monday, July 20, 6:00 AM. Parking lots and access roads are barrier-taped to keep them clear for emergency services.
Please stay out until the closure lifts — check back here for updates.

🅿️Park on the parking of Isatis (Franchard big parking). From there head south-west with Route du Vill de Chaudron and you will basically end up in Sablons after crossing Route Des Gorges de Franchard. The approach to the first boulders is about 5minutes and is reachable with a stroller also.
