Fear 1 / 3
  • Most obvious stand start line. Lots of jugs, but hard to protect. Slightly overhanging.
  • Sit start to cold feet. Heinous start.
  • Stand start to the right of the larger features. Hard to protect. Possible to practice on top rope.
Fear 2 / 3
  • Long diagonal traverse/ascent left to right. Starts far to the right where the face changes. Hard to protect, but slightly safer than the other routes.
  • Stand start up to the left. Very juggy, but hard to protect. Easy to climb down from if needed.
  • Stand start up to the right. Slightly sketchier than to the left. Difficult to protect, but easy to bail if needed.
Fear 3 / 3
  • Stand start using crimp under the right overhanging face. Keep to the right on the ascent. Very little room for protection.
  • Stand start using crimp underneath the overhanging face on the right. Use the good holds going to the left. Hard to protect, so it's pretty committing.
