Esquenall de l'Home

With an approach of 40 minutes, the Esquenall de l’Home is emerging as one of the quietest and most secluded sectors of the whole Alicante region. It is, therefore, the ideal place for anyone who flees from crowded areas and wants to avoid crowds while climbing. There are about twenty routes of great quality where you will find a large assortment of seventh-grade ones, some sixth-grade routes for warming-up and a couple of eighth-grade proposals. Its climbing is quite technical, with quite some run outs between bolts and with a big variety of crimps, pockets and tufas. Most of its lines go through slightly overhanging walls although there is also a small area where the wall does not reach complete verticality.

Its first two routes date from the year 2000 and were bolted by Agustín Gómez and José López "Sucina". Subsequently, far from further development, this sector was plunged into the deepest forgetfulness until, in 2015, Roberto López rediscovers its tremendous potential and bolts 20 new routes that complete the wall and virtually exhaust any more options of future bolting.
