No special access issues
On foggy days or when low clouds are present, both the access to the cave and the return to the car may become significantly complicated due to poor visibility. It is therefore strongly advised not to visit the cave in such conditions to avoid getting lost. Although there are a few 6th-grade routes, this is not a suitable area for beginners or lower-level climbers.
How to get to the parking area:
From the AP-7 take exit 66 N-332 / CV-770 La Vila Joiosa. After the former toll booth, take the first exit at the roundabout towards CV-770 Sella / Orxeta / Relleu and continue until you reach Sella. Drive through the village on the same CV-770 and continue for another 3.8 km until a sharp left-hand bend where there is a turnoff to the right. Take this turnoff and follow it for 6.3 km until the road ends: this is the parking area.
Approach:
From the parking lot, take the dirt track that heads off to the right, opposite to the direction you arrived by car, and follow it for 2 km. At the start you will pass a house on your left, and after about 15 minutes of gentle uphill you will see another house on your right. About 100 m later, the track bends right and enters a small forest, and then turns left again. Continue for 500 m on flat terrain through this wooded area until suddenly the trees disappear. About 100 m further, you will reach a new pine grove on the left, still showing signs of a recent fire (this marks the 2 km point). Here you must leave the track to the left and follow the edge of the pine grove towards the sea. As you descend, a faint path becomes visible, curving left and leading, after a steeper downhill, to a small col with a kind of corridor equipped with fixed ropes. Descend through this corridor and you will find the cave on your left.
