Description

Buthiers Nord
This is a quite newly developed area with basically two roofs and a couple of other problems. There are still un-brushed stuff around for sure.
The two roofs are facing north, so might just be the perfect choice for a warm day! And you can find a lot to do in these roofs. Both roofs have mostly a very good landing and at the glimpse it also looked like not everything is brushed and opened yet. Some hardcore lines might still be available for a first ascent.

The area is quiet people wise, but obviously, if there are someone else around, they might be at the block you want to try. But quiet is not the word for the area in general, because the big road D152 is just a stone throw away and that will keep the noise level up.

But if that's fine for you, then there are plenty of very nice looking lines around to try. Some perfect for summer bouldering, some better in winter. For the eager, bring a brush and find your own lines! :)

The reception is mostly good, but offline mode will of course work in all cases.

Buthiers Nord

Climbing has been limited!

The forests of Fontainebleau, Trois Pignons and Commanderie remain closed to the public until further notice. The entire forest remains very vulnerable to fire risk.

We urge everyone to act responsibly and to be patient: do not enter the forest, do not go to the burned areas, and ensure that access routes for emergency vehicles remain clear.

Park along D152 and walk in with recorded path, you will get to a hiking trail and this goes just next to most of the boulders. Saphir is though a bit downhill off the trail.
