Description
Akkarfjord is a beginner friendly crag just a short drive from Hammerfest. Most of the boulders are slabs or vertical, and thereby leans towards technical climbing. There is still potential for some harder lines, especially highballs. Parts of the crag is close to housing, so please respect privacy and keep the noise at a minimum. It’s recommended to bring a steel brush, as some holds might need to be cleaned.
- Season: April to October. Winter sessions may be possible, depending on snowfall.
- Rock type: Mainly gneiss.
