Description

Sabots Est / 91.1 sud
An area in-between the famous old ones. The orange circuit is old, and some problems around that one, but the harder problems are developed as late as in 2017. How this area stayed under the radar feels very weird.

It's a small compact area, with still some easier or harder first ascents waiting for the eager ones, some around the orange problems have for sure been done back in the days. Doesn't mean one should not climb them and add them to this guide. *vink*

It's also a very good area to visit during a more busy time in the forest, huge chance for not being the busiest of the areas. This is a good area to combine with Cul de chien, 91.1, Justice de Noisy or Sabots, because it's basically just in-between all of these.

The orange circuit is a AD- and streches on from 1-37 with some variations. This is a very nice classical orange one with some tricky slabs on the way.

The area in general is extremely family friendly and it's more than possible to get a stroller there.

The reception can be quite bad, so downloading the guide for offline use is recommendable.

Fontainebleau closed until July 20
Due to fire risk and dry forest conditions, ONF has closed all of Fontainebleau to the public until Monday, July 20, 6:00 AM. Parking lots and access roads are barrier-taped to keep them clear for emergency services.
Please stay out until the closure lifts — check back here for updates.

Park on the main parking of Sabots/Cul de Chien. From here, head out towards Cul de Chien and just after the busy area of Sabots you'll be there.
